Commercial Products & Services
Moss Hollow Solar, LLC is well-known for providing innovative energy and use of space solutions for commercial situations. Below is a sampling of our recent commercial projects.

Harvard University, Petersham, Massachusetts
When the Harvard Crimson decided to go green, they chose Moss Hollow Solar to make it happen. The 10.2 kilowatt photovoltaic (PV) system we installed at their 3,000 acre research forest is the university's first large scale renewable energy project. The electricity generated supports research investigating the effects of global climate change. Shutesbury Elementary School, Shutesbury, Massachusetts
Residents of this small town take their responsibility for the planet seriously. Moss Hollow Solar, LLC was hired to install a PV system and weather station on the Shutesbury Elementary School. Prior to installation of the new systems, we repaired structural damage suffered by the school’s roof. Upon completion of the installation, we returned to conduct a seminar for teaching staff to enable them to teach their students about sustainable energy. VIEW GALLERY
Smith Country Cheese, Winchendon, Massachusetts
Energy costs were taking a toll on this family-run farm. While renewable energy technology seemed like the right course of action, the Smiths feared the costs would be overwhelming. Moss Hollow Solar, LLC helped them secure a USDA grant, one of the few awarded in Massachusetts in 2007. Coupled with a grant from the Massachusetts Technology Council and a federal tax credit, 75% of the cost of the new system was covered. This project required significant engineering to deal with structural issues in the Smith’s barn. Fortunately, Moss Hollow Solar’s expertise as a general contractor meant we had the resources and knowledge to correct the problems. Currently, we look forward to installing 112 solar panels on the barn to ensure the Smiths will be making their wonderful cheeses for years to come.
